Learn how to cook juicy, flaky salmon with crispy edges in your air fryer in under 15 minutes. This recipe is perfect for a quick and healthy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels.
  3. Brush the salmon with olive oil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon.
  6. Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if applicable. Ensure there is some space around the fillet for air circulation.
  7. Cook for 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon and your desired level of doneness. The salmon should flake easily with a fork.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, ensure the salmon is very dry before seasoning.
  • If cooking multiple fillets, avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • This recipe is meal prep friendly; cooked salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
