Ingredients
Scale
1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup unsweetened plant milk (for vegan option) OR 1/2 cup regular milk
1/2 cup buffalo sauce
2 tablespoons melted vegan butter or regular butter
Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the milk mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
Dredge the wet florets in the flour mixture, pressing gently to coat completely. Shake off any excess flour.
Place the coated florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the florets and continue to air fry for another 5 to 8 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
While the cauliflower cooks, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a large bowl.
Transfer the hot, crispy cauliflower to the bowl with the sauce mixture. Toss gently until all pieces are evenly coated.
Serve immediately with your choice of dip.
Notes
For a gluten-free buffalo cauliflower option, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free 1-to-1 baking blend.
If you prefer oven baking, arrange the coated florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Pair these bites with a creamy vegan ranch or blue cheese dip for the best flavor contrast. This recipe is a great alternative to traditional wings when following a keto meal plan delivery for low-carb snacks.
