Ingredients
Scale
4 ears of corn, husked
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: chopped fresh parsley or cilantro, lime wedges
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over each ear of corn.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered corn.
Grill the corn for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and lightly charred.
Alternatively, you can wrap each buttered and cheesed ear of corn tightly in foil and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until tender.
For stovetop preparation, you can boil or steam the corn until tender, then spread with the garlic butter and cheese mixture and let it melt.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and lime wedges if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter mixture.
If you don’t have Parmesan, other hard cheeses like Pecorino Romano or even shredded cheddar can be used.
This recipe is easily adaptable for different cooking methods like oven roasting without foil.
