Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  7. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt.
  8. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  9. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  10. Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  11. Stir in fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it.
  13. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy exterior, ensure your skillet is hot before searing the chicken.
  • You can add a splash of white wine to the pan sauce for additional flavor.
  • Garnish with extra parsley before serving.
