Welcome! I’m Sarah, and I’m so happy you’re here. Make these incredibly easy Cool Whip Cookies using just three pantry staples for soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth treats perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • Powdered sugar, for rolling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the entire box of dry cake mix, the thawed Cool Whip, and the egg. Mix with a spoon or spatula until just combined. Do not overmix the dough.
  3. If using, place powdered sugar in a shallow dish.
  4. Scoop the dough into rounded tablespoons. Roll each scoop into a ball, then roll the ball in the powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes. The cookies will look slightly puffy and set but should still be soft.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of cake mix for different cookie results, such as chocolate or strawberry.
  • For a crinkle cookie effect, ensure you roll the dough balls generously in powdered sugar before baking.
  • These cookies are best stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
