Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos
1 cup Catalina dressing
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
Instructions
Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool.
In a large bowl, layer the shredded lettuce, cheese, onion, tomatoes, and bell pepper.
Add the cooled taco meat mixture.
Just before serving, add the crushed Doritos and drizzle with Catalina dressing.
Toss gently to combine.
Notes
To make ahead, layer all ingredients except the Doritos and dressing. Store covered in the refrigerator. Add Doritos and dressing just before serving to maintain crunch.
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for beef.
