Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cold smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the chopped smoked salmon, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. If using, add the chopped capers.
  4. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to mix all ingredients until they are fully combined and the dip is creamy. Do not overmix.
  5. Taste the dip and add salt if needed, depending on the saltiness of your salmon.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve cold with crackers, vegetable sticks, or toasted bread slices.
