Ingredients
Scale
1 large cucumber, peeled, seeded, and grated
1.5 cups plain Greek yogurt
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Grate the cucumber and place it in a fine-mesh sieve. Let it drain for at least 15 minutes to remove excess water. Gently squeeze out any remaining liquid.
In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped mint, lemon juice, and olive oil.
Add the drained grated cucumber to the yogurt mixture.
Stir everything together until well combined.
Season with salt and black pepper to your preference.
For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, strain the Greek yogurt through cheesecloth before using.
Adjust the amount of garlic and herbs to your liking.
Serve with grilled lamb, chicken, falafel, or as a dip for pita bread and vegetables.
