Ingredients
Scale
4 pounds chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup hot honey
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Add the flour to the bowl and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Arrange the floured wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through.
While the wings are baking, prepare the hot honey glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Stir in the hot honey and apple cider vinegar. If using, add the cayenne pepper.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl.
Pour the hot honey glaze over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For crispier wings, you can bake them for an additional 5-10 minutes after glazing.
Adjust the amount of hot honey and cayenne pepper to your preferred level of sweetness and heat.
These wings are best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or an air fryer.
