Ingredients
Scale
1.5 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze, 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled), or 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut-side down. This helps them crisp up.
Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and deeply caramelized. Flip them halfway through for even browning.
If using, toss with balsamic glaze, crumbled bacon, or Parmesan cheese immediately after removing from the oven.
Notes
For extra crispy sprouts, ensure they are dry before tossing with oil. Pat them with a paper towel if needed.
Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; use two if necessary to allow for proper air circulation and crisping.
High heat is key to achieving that perfect crispy texture.
