Ingredients
Scale
2 cups apple, chopped
1 cup pear, chopped
1 cup clementine or mandarin orange segments
1 cup pomegranate arils
1/2 cup red grapes, halved
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Prepare the fruit: Wash and chop the apples and pears. Peel and segment the clementines. Halve the grapes. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
Make the Cinnamon Vanilla Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lime juice, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
Dress the salad: Pour the dressing evenly over the fruit mixture. Gently toss the fruit until all pieces are lightly coated.
Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the winter fruit salad for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve: Present this colorful fruit arrangement as a refreshing winter dessert or a Christmas brunch side dish.
Notes
For a festive look, select fruits that offer red and green colors, such as red apples and green grapes.
If you prefer a different dressing flavor, substitute the cinnamon and vanilla with 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds for an Orange Poppy Seed Dressing variation.
This salad is best served the day it is made for the crispest texture.
